For best performance, apply a light application of our 100% silicone grease to quick-connect O-rings once or twice per year and anytime connectors begin feeling dry or difficult to disconnect.

Does ELEY silicone grease affect the drinking safety of your products?
ELEY 100% Silicone Grease does not affect the drinking water safety of our products. It is an NSF H1 certified lubricant.
Are the grease and the O-rings sold separately?
This kit contains one (1) 0.35-ounce tube of 100% silicone grease and ten (10) replacement O-rings for the ELEY quick-connect plug. These contents are only sold in this kit and not individually.
What are the specifics of the silicone grease?

How often should this be applied to O-rings and garden hose washers?
Lubricating garden hose washers is not necessary but is beneficial. It will make a snug seal much easier to achieve.
Lubricating the quick connect O-ring is necessary. If not lubricated the O-rings will stick during use and may cause the connector to seize or leak. At a minimum, the O-ring on each connector plug should be lubricated once in the spring at first use and once in the fall when stored for winter.
During the season of use, lubricate anytime the connector becomes difficult to use.
Pure Silicone grease is the only lubricant that is compatible with ELEY Garden Hose Washers.
Can this grease be used on the threads of light bulbs?
It is non-conductive, and yes, it can be used as a dielectric or bulb grease.
