Brass Garden Hose 2-Way Splitter
This innovative, commercial-duty garden hose splitter delivers it all. Drinking water safe, expandable, precise flow control, rugged, and finger friendly.
Rugged, Commercial-Duty Construction
The main body of this beefy splitter is fabricated from forged, drinking water-safe ECO brass. This durable, thick, and rugged material will deliver years of reliable performance. The heavy-duty interior ball is made from durable chrome-plated brass. The easy-grab ON/OFF flow control lever is formed from a high-impact resin material and the long-life O-ring washer in the female fitting is made from ultra-strong and chemical-resistant polyurethane material. The entire splitter is backed by our industry-leading 10-YEAR No-Leak, No-Fail Guarantee & Warranty.
User-Friendly Features
The large finger grips on the female fitting make it much easier to get a water-tight seal with the durable O-ring gasket and to loosen the fitting to remove the Y-valve from the faucet. The oversized, 1/4-turn, "Stay-Put" flow control levers are easy to grab and adjust and stay right where you set them for precise water flow control. Ultra-durable and maintenance-free Teflon® seals keep the ball valves operating smoothly and leak-free for over ten years, guaranteed.
Innovative, Expandable Third Port
An ELEY-exclusive, the innovative and versatile third port can be used to attach a garden hose, a shut-off valve, or an additional Y-valve. To expand, remove the bottom brass cap and thread on the additional item. The bottom third port has no flow-control valve and will be "constant flow." However, if desired, the ELEY straight shut-off valve (Item #1117) can be added to create a 3rd flow-control valve. The removed brass cap can be used to cap any garden hose or watering device with male 3/4" garden hose threads.
Easily Add ELEY Quick Connectors
Because this splitter is produced with standard 3/4-inch Garden Hose Threads (GHT), any brand of garden hose or quick-connectors can be threaded directly to the ports. Adding an ELEY quick connector to each port can eliminate the time-consuming, often difficult & frustrating chore of constantly threading and unthreading your garden hose onto and off the splitter. It'll make your outdoor watering tasks more efficient and enjoyable. DO NOT attach hoses equipped with aluminum fittings to this brass splitter, as galvanic corrosion (fused together) will eventually occur.
Frequently Asked Questions - Brass Garden Hose 2-Way Splitter
These FAQs are specific to the Brass Garden Hose 2-Way Splitter. For general FAQs (specifications, ratings, etc.) about all ELEY watering tools, visit our Watering Tools FAQs.
Is this item drinking water safe?
Yes. Water flowing through your ELEY reels, hoses, and watering tools stays pure because we use only 100% drinking water-safe internal component materials. From the lead-free brass and rubber seals, down to the assembly lube—it’s all safe.
What is the inside diameter (ID) of the interior ball valve?
When fully open, the interior ball valve creates an opening that is 14mm in diameter, (0.55 inches), or just over 1/2" Inside Diameter.
What is the inside diameter of the bottom 3rd port?
15mm (0.59 inches)
Can a ball valve be added to the bottom 3rd port to allow for adjustable flow rather than being always on?
Yes. Any ball valve that is equipped with standard garden hose threads can be added to the bottom port so as to allow for on, off or adjustable flow through the bottom 3rd port. Simply remove the brass cap on the bottom port and replace it with a ball valve of your choosing. We would recommend considering one of the two ELEY in-line ball valves, either our #1117 standard ball valve, or our #1116 ball valve with a swivel fitting.
Is the ON/OFF lever replaceable if I manage to break it?
Yes. You can purchase the item and watch an installation video by following this link. Ball Valve Lever (Item 2961)
Can this valve be used indoors under constant pressure behind my washing machine?
No, it is not intended for indoor use. Outdoor use only.
Can I leave the Y-valve attached to a faucet in freezing temperatures if both valves are left open?
We suggest removing all watering tool attachments from the spigot before temperatures drop below freezing as water can get trapped inside the valve body when the valve is fully open or fully closed.
