Innovative, Expandable Third Port
This ELEY-exclusive design features a third expandable port for added versatility.
Attach a hose, shut-off valve, or additional splitter to expand your system. To expand, remove the bottom brass cap and thread on the additional item. The bottom third port has no flow-control valve and will be "constant flow." However, if desired, the ELEY straight shut-off valve (Item #1117) can be added to create a 3rd flow-control valve.
The removable brass cap can be used to cap any garden hose or watering device with male 3/4" garden hose threads.
Easily Add ELEY Quick Connectors
Designed with standard 3/4-inch garden hose threads (GHT), this splitter is compatible with any standard hose or accessory.
Add ELEY quick-connectors to each port for faster, more convenient connections—eliminating the need to thread and unthread hoses.

Yes. The ELEY 2-way Y-valve splitter is manufactured using high-quality materials commonly used in applications involving drinking water contact, including lead-free brass components that comply with federal lead-free standards and durable EPDM rubber O-rings.

What is the inside diameter (ID) of the three ports on this valve?
When fully open, the two upper interior ball valves create an opening that is 14mm in diameter, (0.55 inches), or just over 1/2" Inside Diameter.
The ID of the bottom capped port is 5/8-inches (15.875 mm)
What are the dimensions of the 2-way Y-valve?
The valve measures 3-5/16 inches high × 5-3/16 inches wide × 2-5/16 inches deep.
Can a ball valve be added to the bottom 3rd port to allow for adjustable flow rather than being always on?
Yes. Any ball valve that is equipped with standard garden hose threads can be added to the bottom port so as to allow for on, off or adjustable flow through the bottom 3rd port. Simply remove the brass cap on the bottom port and replace it with a ball valve of your choosing. We would recommend considering one of the two ELEY in-line ball valves, either our #1116 ball valve with a swivel fitting, (first image) or our #1117 standard ball valve, (second image).
Can the ELEY 2-way Y-valve splitter be used under constant or continual water pressure?
No. The ELEY 2-way Y-valves are built for outdoor, intermittent use, not for constant pressure or indoor plumbing. They are rated to 165 °F (74 °C) and 120 PSI (8.3 bar). Continuous pressure can wear out seals and cause leaks—so always shut off the faucet and relieve pressure when not in use.
Does the ELEY 2-way Y-valve splitter contain Teflon® (PTFE)?
Yes. The ELEY 2-way Y-valve splitter uses a small PTFE (Teflon®) seal inside the valve assembly to support smooth operation and leak-resistant performance. The seal has limited contact with water as it passes through the valve.

Can this valve be used indoors under constant pressure behind my washing machine?
No, it is not intended for indoor use. Outdoor use only.
Can I leave the 2-way Y-valve splitter attached to a faucet in freezing temperatures if both valves are left open?
We suggest removing all watering tool attachments from the spigot before temperatures drop below freezing, as water can get trapped inside the valve body when the valve is fully open or fully closed. However, if you're going to leave it attached to the spigot, be sure to do the following:
- Remove the garden hose from all ports.
- Remove the cap from the bottom port.
- Turn both valve levers to the ON position as shown in the following photo.
